We are pleased to announce the following bands will be playing at the 2019 Status Quo Fan Club Convention



Rhino’s Revenge have been out on the road throughout 2018 and we are thrilled to have them back at 

convention, this time with a different line-up:

John ‘Rhino’ Edwards

Jim Kirkpatrick on guitar

Richard Newman on drums



Convention regulars JCQ will once again complete our weekend. The band are more popular than ever and

continue to have a full diary – we are delighted to welcome them back.

The band are:

John Coghlan on drums and percussion

Mick Hughes on vocals and guitar

Rick Chase on vocals and bass guitar

Rick Abbs on vocals and guitar



When Rick Parfitt Jnr appeared on stage at the Status Quo Convention in 2017 there wasn’t a dry eye in the place and this time Rick has agreed to bring his own band.

Rick commented: “Looking forward to being back and this time bringing my band. BIG BIG rock show planned for you xxx”



Status Quotes hail from Holland and we are extremely pleased that they have agreed to headline for us on Friday night.

The band are:

Toon Eppink on guitar and vocals

Harry Kruisselbrink – bass/harmonica/vocals

Rens Hardijzer on drums

Another welcome return to convention. Jackie, famous for ‘is there anybody out there that wants to rock’, will be accompanied by his band:

Adrian ‘Spud’ Metcalf on drums

We are thrilled that one of the UK’s top Quo tribute bands have agreed to return to convention.

The band are:

Rick Abbs on vocals and guitar

Terry Abbs on drums

Steve Newell on bass

Matt Stopgate on vocals and rhythm guitar



Who could forget Stated Quo’s version of ‘Get Down Get With It’ at the 2015 convention? We are delighted to have them back!

The band are:

Mike Grady on vocals, lead guitar, harmonica

Jimmy Glynn on vocals, rhythm guitar and harmonica

Simon Fenton on vocals and bass guitar

Al Bowerbank on drums

State of Quo are one of the UK’s longest-established and most popular Status Quo tribute bands. The band started out in 1995 and have had several line-up changes since then.

They have played countless gigs all over the UK and Europe.

The band are:

Paul Carr on vocals and rhythm guitar

Ian Hill on vocals and lead guitar

Dave Owen on drums

Brian Smith on bass guitar



The Matchstick Men are from Northern Ireland and will be opening convention on Friday night – please make them welcome.

The band are:

Jay Dougherty on drums

Keifer Gallagher on guitar

Nick Hawryliw on bass and vocals

Eddy Kilgore on guitar and vocals
