Butlins Acceptable Behaviour Policy

Butlins have an acceptable behaviour policy which can be viewed by following this link: Behaviour Policy. We would kindly request that everyone attending the 2019 Convention reads the policy and follows the guidelines – thanks for your support with this.

 

What is a QR code?

This is a type of bar code which is individual to each ticket, an example is shown below. If you have ordered more than 1 ticket you will receive the corresponding number of QR Codes. It is very important you bring ALL the tickets with you as each QR code can only be scanned once. After entry has been granted for an individual QR Code, no further entry will be allowed for that ticket. For this reason, please do not share your tickets with anyone other than the people they are intended for.

QR codes can be scanned on mobile devices (please have this ready when entering REDs for the first time) or from a printed copy (but please consider the environment before printing)

 

 

 

 

 

 

When can Fan Club members enter REDS on Friday?

Fan Club members plus one guest can enter REDS on Friday at 4pm – they can then collect their free t-shirts from the merchandise stand

 

Can wheelchair users and mobility users get early access?

Yes, please come to the front of the queue and you will be allowed in 10 minutes before doors open.

 

Why have I not received my convention tickets yet even though I have ordered them?

All ordered tickets have now been sent out via email. If you have not received your tickets (with the QR codes on them) please email admin@statusquofanclub.co.uk asap

 

When will I receive my tickets?

All ordered Convention Tickets (not accommodation) were emailed out in August 2019. New orders for tickets are usually emailed out within 72 hours. Tickets will include a QR code which will be scanned when you first enter REDs. You will also receive a confirmation email with a copy of your invoice.

 

What is the procedure for gaining access to accommodation and the Convention? UPDATED

You are welcome to arrive on site from 1PM. Proceed first to the check-in building which is next to Guest Services where you can check in and collect your Welcome Pack. You will be able to access your accommodation from 3pm and 4pm depending on what accommodation you have booked (see more details below).

Early birds can meet in the Beachcomber Inn (formerly the Sun and Moon) from mid-day for pre-convention drinks – see you in the bar!

FTMO… members and 1 guest can gain early entry to REDS from 4pm. Wheelchair/mobility users can enter from 3.50pm. REDS will open to everyone else at 5pm. When entering REDS your ticket will be scanned (either on phone or printed) and you will then be given your Convention Wristband. Late arrivals should go to the Merchandise stand inside REDS to have their ticket scanned and get your wristband. Please note there will be a charge for replacing lost wristbands. The wristband must be worn at all times to gain entry. FTMO… members will be able to collect their free T-shirt from the merchandise stall located in REDS.

The DisQuo will start at 6.30pm.

 

I haven’t received my tickets 

We issued all existing ticket orders during August 2019. New orders for tickets are usually dispatched within 72 hours. If you haven’t received yours, firstly – DON’T PANIC. Everyone that has brought a ticket WILL get into the event (although see QR codes above for rules on not sharing tickets)

Some Email systems treat emails from our servers as suspicious and will not deliver them to you. This is not an issue with FTMO… but the settings used by these companies and is probably not just affecting emails from us (a quick google will confirm this).

If you have not received your tickets by the end of August 2019, please let us know by emailing admin@statusquofanclub.co.uk. If possible please provide an alternative email address to which we can send your tickets but if this is not possible we will still get the tickets to you.

Again, please just let us know and we will make sure you get your tickets in plenty of time.

Do I have to be a member of FTMO… – the official Status Quo Fan Club to book tickets?

No, everyone is welcome. However, if you are a member of FTMO… prior to booking your tickets you can reserve an exclusive free T-Shirt. Providing you remain a member by the start of the convention, you can collect your free t-shirt when you enter the event.

Does my accommodation booking include the Status Quo Fan Club Convention ticket as I cannot see this confirmed on my booking?

No – once you have booked your accommodation at Butlin’s please click here to book your 2019 convention tickets

 

Can I book accommodation or convention tickets when I arrive?

No bookings or payments for accommodation or convention tickets will be taken at Guest Services on check-in and you will not be allowed into the event.

Can I book my accommodation in any other way?

No – all bookings for Butlin’s accommodation must be booked via the official link – Butlin’s Accommodation or by phoning 0330 100 9334 (press option 2) and quoting your reference STATQ.

This is because FTMO… has been allocated a certain amount of accommodation and Butlin’s need to  be able to manage this correctly. Butlin’s need to know exactly who is onsite as part of the convention. When booking your convention tickets, wristbands will not be released until FTMO… have confirmation that accommodation has been booked via the correct booking system.

FTMO… are not responsible for any costs incurred which may result if accommodation needs to be altered due to not using the correct booking method.

 

Can I book accommodation off-site?

No, this is a Butlin’s condition and is the same for all their music weekends. We have secured some fantastic rates. Once this allocation of accommodation has been taken these rates could rise.

 

Is there an age limit?

No, everyone is welcome.

 

Is breakfast included in the room rate?

No, but there are menu plans available, and a large number of pubs and restaurants where you can eat as and when you like.

 

What accommodation is available?

A variety of accommodation is available for your weekend (depending on availability):

Standard Room

Standard rooms are basic and similar in style to rooms you’d find in a hotel. There’s no lounge or kitchen but you’ll find everything you need to make a nice cup of tea or coffee.

Silver Room

One of the popular mid-range options. With contemporary furnishings, your light and bright space is similar in style to a hotel room. There’s no lounge or kitchen but you’ll find everything you need to make a nice cup of tea or coffee. 1 bedroom rooms are twin only

Silver Apartment

This is also one of the popular mid-range options. With contemporary furnishings and a lounge where there’s space for you to relax and unwind. Plus a lounge and kitchen. Towels are not provided.

Gold Apartments

These are the perfect choice if you want to relax and unwind in a real home from home. You’ll find Egyptian cotton sheets, stylish furnishings and a kitchen where you can cook up a storm. Towels provided

Deluxe Suites – SOLD OUT

This is the perfect choice if you want to spoil yourselves. Similar in style to a hotel suite you’ll have one bedroom, a bathroom and a lounge area with widescreen TV and DVD player to relax in at the end of a busy day. Tea and coffee facilities. Towels provided.

Lake View Chalets

With views of our peaceful lake, our Lakeview Chalets offer a relaxing environment for you and your family. The kitchen is supplied with a microwave and dishwasher and all bathrooms are complete with towels, toiletries and daily housekeeping.

Lake Side Chalets

With views of our peaceful lake, our Lakeside Chalets offer a relaxing environment for you and your family. Featuring French doors that open onto a veranda with safety glass balustrade, these beautiful chalets offer uninterrupted views of the lake. Inside you’ll find a double height, open-plan living area with a family sofa, TV and DVD player, whilst the kitchen comes with a microwave and dishwasher, and the bathroom comes complete with towels and toiletries.

 

Is bed linen and towels included?

All bed linen is included. Towels are included in the Chalet, Deluxe and Gold accommodation. If you’re staying in our Standard and Silver accommodation you can add towels and housekeeping to your break.

 

Is there free Wi-Fi?

Butlin’s offer basic free Wi-Fi to their guests every day. For premium WIFI for up to 4 devices (max 20gb / day), they offer Wi-Fi passes: £15 (3 or 4 night breaks) per device. This can only be purchased through your device once you arrive at the resort

 

Is car parking available?

We offer complimentary parking for all our guests at Butlin’s. Wherever you are staying you will be directed to the car park closest to your accommodation upon arrival.

 

What time can I check-in?

All guests are welcome to arrive at the resort from midday.

Those with Lake View and Park View chalets, Gold and Deluxe accommodation are able to check-in and access accommodation from 3pm. For those staying in the Silver and Standard rooms and apartments check-in and accommodation is available from 4pm.

 

What time do I need to check-out?

We ask all guest to check-out of their accommodation no later than 10am, however you and your family are welcome to stay and enjoy yourselves on resort until midday.

 

Is there any transport available between Bristol and Butlin’s like previous years?

Coaches will be running between Bristol Bus Station, Temple Meads Train Station and Bristol Airport to Butlin’s Minehead on 27th September 2019 and returning 30th September.
